Hello Everyone ! If you are here it is probably because you’ve seen all over TikTok about the divine masculine energy. But how to increase masculine energy ? In my last article I explained how to tap in your divine feminine energy.

As a disclaimer I wanted to remind you that:

The divine masculine energy is not strictly associated to male or female

I understand you might be surprised, but divine masculine energy isn’t about the stereotypes you might find online. It’s not about lifting weights, be a Dom Juan, hiding your emotions, or just being ‘strong.’ Those are limiting beliefs.

It is just a synonym of the Yang symbolism, that you can find in the taoist philosophy. We can observe a lack of masculine energy traits in both men and women for various reasons such as: unhealed trauma, absence of a figure with strong masculine energy traits in your childhood.

But this lack can occurs during the course of your life during periods where you are:

  • Overworking: This can lead to physical and mental fatigue, impacting energy levels.
  • Have Chronic stress: Stress hormones can deplete energy reserves.
  • Have Toxic relationships: Being around negativity can be draining.
  • Have Unhealthy habits: Poor diet, lack of sleep, and addictions can all negatively affect energy.

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, these conditions can deplete your body’s yang energy over time.

1. Do you have unbalance masculine energy (YANG) ?

Before you wonder how to increase your masculine energy, it’s important to remember that you can also suffer from an excess of it. In Taoist philosophy, an imbalance of masculine energy can manifest in both the body and mind.

Masculine energy exists on a spectrum. This means you can experience both signs of excess and deficiency at the same time. While you develop your masculine energy, you’ll likely discover some inherent strengths and areas that require more nurturing.

2. How to tap into your Masculine energy ?

Masculine energy, or Yang, is associated with action. However, it thrives in balance with Yin, the energy of rest and recuperation. Just like overworking in your career or neglecting rest after a workout can lead to fatigue, neglecting Yin energy can disrupt your overall well-being. To restore balance, we can nurture Yin through activities like rest and healthy eating.

Modern society often encourages a Yang imbalance. The relentless pursuit of working long hours, maintaining a highly productive life, or constantly being ‘on the go’ leaves little room for relaxation. This constant activity prevents the body and mind from fully recuperating, leading to potential burnout

You’re right, resting can be seen as connecting with your feminine energy. It might sound counterproductive, but that’s because masculine and feminine energies are complementary. So, when your masculine drive is low, you might naturally gravitate towards activities that nurture your feminine side. This can be a temporary shift, but it’s also an opportunity to learn how to tap into your masculine energy in a healthy way.

These are the things you could implement at first:

  • Do a medical check-up: When was the last time you had your labs checked?
  • Slow down if you feel exhaustion: Take advantage of your PTO or sick leave.
  • Switch to low-impact sports: Walking, cycling, golf, hiking (great options!)
  • Switch to a nurturing diet: Focus on protein, good fats, complex carbs, and plenty of vegetables and fruits.
  • Engage in self-care practices: Meditation, relaxation techniques, and dedicated rest periods are all excellent choices.
  • Make time for activities you enjoy: Reading, spending time in nature, or anything that helps you unwind and de-stress.

Here’s what it looks like to be in your divine masculine:

  • responsability
  • confidence
  • action
  • giving
  • power
  • strength
  • focus
  • generosity
  • abundance
  • control
  • protection
  • intellect
  • assertive

Developing these masculine energy traits is certainly easier when you feel good about yourself. Unhealthy family dynamics or toxic relationships can make it more challenging. However, it’s important to remember that everyone carries scars from the past. These experiences don’t have to define you.

Ignoring our emotional scars and simply trying to “be strong” can lead to a wounded masculine energy. This often results in unhealthy coping mechanisms. Before diving into personal development, it’s crucial to acknowledge your emotions – shame, rejection, sadness, fear of inadequacy, or fear of failure. By recognizing these feelings, we create space for healing and authentic growth.

To cultivate healthy masculine energy traits, it’s important to address these feelings. Here are some approaches you can take:

  • Self-reflection: Ask “why am I triggered?” and journal your feelings.
  • Therapy (or): Consider mindfulness/meditation or support groups.
  • Embrace Your Purpose:
    • Define Your Dreams: Ask yourself what truly fulfills you. What legacy do you want to leave? Pursue passions that ignite your spirit.
  • Develop Your Inner Compass:
    • Sharpen Your Focus: Train your mind to concentrate and eliminate distractions.
    • Embrace Authenticity: Be uniquely you. Celebrate your individuality and express yourself freely.
    • Cultivate Confidence: Believe in yourself and your abilities. Take calculated risks and learn from setbacks.
  • Take Action and Lead:
    • Embrace Responsibility: Own your commitments. Be reliable and follow through on your word.
    • Become a Giver: Extend a helping hand without expecting anything in return.
    • Develop Assertiveness: Communicate your needs and desires clearly and directly.
    • Take Initiative: Don’t wait for opportunities, create them. Be the one who sets the direction.
    • Embrace Strength: Both physical and mental. Challenge yourself physically and develop resilience.
  • Find Balance and Recharge:
    • Practice Self-Care: Prioritize rest and relaxation. Engage in activities that replenish your energy.
    • Nurture Balance: Don’t wait to be burnout to take care of yourself, implement self care weekly such as resting, taking a bath, watching a movie
  • Cultivate Your Inner Power:
    • Develop Control: Master your emotions and make conscious choices.
    • Embrace Intellect: Never stop learning. Challenge yourself intellectually and expand your knowledge.
    • Practice Generosity: Share your resources, knowledge, and time freely.
    • Embrace Protection: Be a safe space for yourself and those you care about.

Remember: Masculine energy is not about suppressing your emotions or adhering to rigid stereotypes. It’s about embracing your strengths, taking responsibility, and living with purpose. Focus on becoming the best version of yourself, and your inner strength will naturally radiate.
